What is the exact 3-stage examination scheme for UPSC CSE 2027?

What are the passing marks for CSAT (Paper II) in UPSC Prelims?
CSAT is strictly a qualifying paper. Candidates must secure a minimum of 33% marks (66.00 marks out of 200) to qualify. If a candidate fails to score 66 marks in CSAT, their GS Paper I will be evaluated but they will be disqualified from clearing Prelims, regardless of their GS 1 score.
Are Prelims marks added to the final UPSC CSE merit ranking?
No. The Preliminary examination serves solely as a screening filter to shortlist candidates for the Main examination (roughly 12.5 times the total vacancies). Marks scored in Prelims (both GS 1 and CSAT) are not counted towards the final merit list or service allocation.
